    History

This was the dream shared by Solebury's four you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗ng founders, Laurie Erskine, Julian Lathrop, Robert Shaw and Arthur Washburn in the early 1920s.

As a result of their vision, Solebury opened its doors in rented quarters September 1925 with four boys and four teachers. A year later, the founders purchased its present location, the Michener Farm, and Solebury School as we know it has continued to grow ever since. Just down the road from Solebury was Holmquist School for Girls. Miss Karline Holmquist believed, as did Solebury's founders, that each student should be helped to discover and develop her own talents and capabilities. As Solebury and Holmquist grew, the two schools found themselves sharing theatrical productions, a chorus, proms, informal teas, progressive dinners and card parties. In 1949 the two schools merged to become Solebury School, one of the first coeducational independent schools in the country.

While the faces have changed through the years, Solebury's mission has remained, to provide a challenging college preparatory curriculum that encourages students to explore and develop their individual skills and talents in an informal educational community.

Please share a few thoughts about you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗r experiences with Solebury School: Solebury School is a community. A place to let students be independent, a place where students and teachers are friends outside of class, a place to try out different hobbies. Solebury lets its students discover their passions, whether it be art, sports, theater, music or any other activity. Solebury is my second 中国福利彩票app靠谱吗 and I love it.

Please share a few thoughts about you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗r experiences with Solebury School: Solebury School is phenomenal! I am currently a junior at Solebury School but I first came here as a seventh grader and it was honestly a culture shock. The school i went to prior to becoming a part of the Solebury community was a school with 30 kids per class, a strict dress code, teachers who clearly did not want to be there and a curriculum that didn't bend to the needs of every student individually. Solebury is not like every other school. It is rich in diversity and the learning is on a different level. With small class sizes, students are given the individual attention that they need in order to succeed. No child is ever left behind due to a learning difference. The school offers many opportunities for community service (which is required). Also the student teacher relationship is unique. We call our teachers by their first names which in my opinion breaks down barriers of students being too nervous to ask for help. It is clear that ALL of the teachers enjoy teaching and have a mission to help each and every one of their students succeed. The students on campus are always welcoming to new students no matter what. We have a strict no bullying policy and it is apparent that everyone follows it. Everyone on campus has a mutual respect for each other. The school truly is a unique and amazing school with so much to offer to every student.

Please share a few thoughts about you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗r experiences with Solebury School: Solebury is fantastic. The teachers are friendly and intelligent. The campus is beautiful. Students have healthy relationships among themselves and with their teachers. There are lots of choices when it comes to food, but I would like the quality to be better.

Please share a few thoughts about you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗r experiences with Solebury School: I love Solebury!! One of the things that I think makes Solebury special is that it encourages strong relationships and mutual respect between teachers and students. And there is an understanding, when you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗 go to Solebury, that you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗 will click with some teachers and others not as much, which is why the advisory system is set up to be flexible. One of my other favorite things about Solebury is that the environment is such that people feel comfortable being themselves, which is important when you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗 are attempting get educated.

Please share a few thoughts about you中国福利彩票app靠谱吗r experiences with Solebury School: The reason that I decided to come to Solebury was the welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The people of Solebury, whether faculty, students, or staff, are all really awesome people to be around. There is a sense of community here that I didn't feel when I was touring other prospective high schools. The best thing about Solebury is its community spirit.
